Air Pump cap

Tore down my emissions stuff. Waiting for funds for RB header. Found this beauty. The cap was left on from the factory. Would this make the stock rx7 run like crap?

Could- air pump takes fresh air via air cleaner and runs it thru the outlet on yours that is PLUGGED and into (actually, around) the thermal reactor to cool it. Without it the reactor will cook itself to death, collapsing and severely restricting exhaust output =
run like crap. Air pumps should NEVER come off an RX with a reactor still attached. Obviously, a different story with the header installed. Likely a moot point if the header is on the way-
