Another guy on this forum has a setup like this. A corrgated flexible tube running fron the stock filter housing to the front of the radiator with a big collector on front. Poor man's ram air induction. Will this offer a significant hp increase?

I think that you are talking about me. I noticed a slight difference, or maybe I just wanted to. remember, mine is still breathing through the stock filter. Im to cheap to buy a K&N yet. gotta get her smogged first.

100% efficient ram air is worth something like 1 or 2 hp, at 150mph. Unfortunately, you can't get 100% of anything, and its an exponential function. Velocity is squared, so 100 mph is less than half of 150 mph. There just isn't much there. Cold air is free, and worth a lot more. Delta Q is your friend....

Yep... even if it's not "ram air", getting air that hasn't been first heated by the radiator is a GOOD thing
