aftermarket carb ?
What parts off the stock carbon need to go on an aftermarket garb if any?
Going to a 40dcoe with a lakewood manifold just trying to find out what I need to get her running
Thanks

You won't keep anything off the stock carb for a sidedraft, except the throttle cable. But if your running the Lake Cities (short) manifold (the one that puts the carb over the exhaust), you may need a longer cable, not sure on that one. If you plan on running a return line, you may wanna keep the little barrel (restrictor) on the stock return line to use on the new one. Your going to want a good heat shield on the ehaust and possibly one that mounts to the bottom of the carb with that setup too. It gets mighty hot right there. You'll need a new fuel pump and regulator as well as a fuel pressure gauge. It's also a good idea to put an extra fuel filter between the pump/fpr and carb. helps later with troubleshooting etc. Previuos poster was right though, unless your stock, a 40 will probably not get you the gains possible with the manifold you have.

Well as I got the carb and race header cheap, I couldnt pass it up. The carb was tuned at my altitude by Tony Rivera so it is quite well set up. I dont plan on running a return prob just going to block it I will need the longer throttle cable i already knew this. Planned on FPR/and holley fuel pump, just wanted to make sure that I didnt need any sensors and what not left from the stock.
As far as power not overly converned just want a little zip as this is my daily, the FD satisfies my needs for the speed.
Thanks guys will throw some pics of the save as it progresses.
