after a year I'm almost done with my 7!!

I just realized that it was approx one year ago (give or take a week) I bought my seven, and I still havent finished it, but I'm damn close! Heres the story, I missed my camaro alot, but I wasn't really looking for a replacement when I found my 7. I was talking to my friend about how I missed my old camaro and he says "hey theres a nice looking sporty coupe for sale at the local mechanic shop for cheap" so we check it out and when we pulled up and I saw I immediatly said "ohh what a nice looking datsun!" Well upon further inspection I realized what it was and I was even more intregued, like every one else I never saw/heard of the FB so I immediately bought it simply becuase it was an unpopular car with a strange and different engine. Well long story short I bought a rotted out FB with 60 psi of compression on the front and 30 on the rear rotor, with a cheap macco paint job for $1000! Without knowing about the bad motor I set off to unrusting my car, it took me the whole summer! then as fall came and I found this website, and got a little smarter and did a compression test, talk about an unpleasant surprise. I yanked the motor and trans and sent the shell off to storage for the winter, meanwhile thoughts of V8 swaps, engine porting, or just selling the car distracted me from school. Well I took the safest route and bought another 12a off the forums and a recently rebuilt trans from ebay just because it was only $300. The day I got the car out of storage I managed to swap in the new motor, clutch, tranny, etc. with no problems. Pretty good for some one who has only done oil changes and brake jobs. The only thing left if to do the rear brakes and paint the car, sitting at home I have new rotors, pads, and a gallon of black metallic paint. Im almost there, however I'm stuck in italy for the next 2 months so the conclusion to this year long project will have to wait a little longer, I almost want to go back home early.
