afr guage reading and directfire (wasted spark)ignition

so I have got my direct fire setup working(similar to dlidfis but with 2 msd boxes and no leading ignitors),
my question is now because of the wasted spark in this type of ignition, will this alter the afr's shown on my guage from what is actually combusting during the normal combustion process?
I ask this because an afr guage reads exhaust gasses, and if i am "wasting" a spark just after normal combustion, would this not change the properties of the combusted(exhaust) gasses, in turn giving me a reading of what is left after the wasted spark, as opposed to the actual combustion event?

or am I just looking too far into this

Looking too far. We know this 'wasted spark' changes the exhaust note character a little, so it is burning some left over fuel. It is probably enough to affect AFRs but nothing to worry about, if you were worried about it. The usual good side effects will apply, so you can be happy about that.
