Advice on wheel color

Ok, I have a set of the old school epsillon wheel on here and I don't like the gold and red. I am debating on either having them polished or having the centers powdered black. What do you guys think? I saw a car on here not to long ago with some all polished mesh wheels and I thought it looked quite nice. Also does anyone from the midwest area recomend a place to go to have this done? What kind've a shop does this? Finding someone to powder coat them black wouldn't be too hard, but where can I find someone to polish them?

Because your car is red, your best options would be powdercoated black (no gun metal, avoid that color, it will stand out as gawdy). Really, that's the only color I can see that'll blend in smoothly, since you have other secondary areas (rear windshield, A-pillars, bumper). Even polished would stand out too much. Personally, I think black will do the best. That's an already clean machine, I really wouldn't want to see it get the wrong color of rims.

That's what I'm afraid of, that it'll look just like a lot of others with the black wheels. I really like the idea of polishing the entire thing, but don't want TOO much bling. Has anyone ever gone black with the polished spokes like was mentioned? I bet that is rediculously hard. and I do like the look of those autobahn's. Thanks Revin for that photoshop. Definitely like the look of black and red, always have. I am a little afraid though, that with the deep dish everything inside will be shaded and that noone will be able to even see the mesh. OHH DECISIONS DECISIONS!

I guess by nobrainer you mean I should switch back to stock

What about a black anodizing? Anyone think that'll look right?

I originally wanted to stay with silver wheels, but I grew to like the white wheels I have and I cant imagine them being anything else now.Clean up is a pain, but I can get all the way inside them without removal so thats a plus.
White wheels look good on a red car, nice contrast.Although mesh wheels might not be the best choice for white, both in looks and especially clean-up......

I do like the white on your car, but I don't think it'll look right with mesh like you said. I am not too worried about cleaning. That's half the fun right.

gold wheels

Morey:
Your best solution is to send them to me for my Spark Yellow 1979!!
I will trade you a set of the "keyhole" rims for them.
Those wheels will look sweet on the 79!

Hell,,, if someone had another set of wide wheels in a 4x110 pattern I might entertain the idea. Tell you the truth though, it is a pain in the *** trying to find tires! The only thing I can really find is a set of nitto 555's 275/50/15 And that's a drag radial. Not my first choice, but it'll have to do. I hear they are pretty decent though,,,,anyone have luck with these? I am not in them for the longevity. I don't really care if they last 5000 miles. I just want a great performing tire.

Ok got a quote today for 3 to 400 to have em powder coated black, but I am still torn on whether or not to polish the spokes. Does anyone have a big picture of one like this so I can see what it's like? I wonder what keeping the spokes gold would look like? I don't want to get gawdy though. Let me know what you other 7 lovers think.
