add coolant light, yea.

i know the radiator is filled however just recently when i first start it occasionaly the add coolant light blips on for a moment, perhaps i need a new sensor? any ideas?

mine comes on every time i start my car.. same with the alternator light.. then they both go off after about 15 seconds..

or maybe you have some air in the system and when you first start it the air is at the top of the radiator and after a second or two when the coolant is flowing it takes care of the small gap of air..

ohhh i never thought of that.... how do i get rid of that? run it with rad cap off?

Maybe a dirty connection. Mine would come on and off at odd times for no reason. the connection was green. Cleaned it and now I dont have the problem

sounds like air is a possible cause, jack up the front of the car and let it run with the rad cap off for a few minutes.
