They work but cost alot for quality units. They also add to bearing wear because it pushes the center of mass further from the hub. The price of good ones + wheels in a common bolt pattern will equal the price of quality wheels in the 4x110 pattern (Panasport, RS Watanabe, SSR, etc.). I'm sure you could get a set of ROH Snyper's or Relex's for less. Not a good idea, imho.

here's the details: such 'adapters' are recommended for show cars only, ones pushed onto and off of trailers and never driven - ever.
Bolt pattern adapters drastically alter your unsprung weight, offset, etc. and can set up nasty vibration harmonics.
In short, they can lead to loss of car or loss of life.
Find wheels that fit your car, or swap the hubs and rear end for those of a GSL-SE. Don't dick around with dangerous 'mods' in the name of looks.

If you swap out to the -SE suspension and brakes, don't forget to get the -SE brake master cylinder. The proportioning valve is different. It doesn't really matter in around the town driving, but if you really run it hard (or at the track) it will matter.

As far as the SE gear goes, is it that much better than teh GS stuff that is on my 83? I just put new struts all around and I'd hope to be able to use that stuff too...

I also have se hubs lying around.![Big Grin](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I like having swappability with our other cars, all non SE's, so I'll probably never use them.
