If you need an ACV I have a working one that I pulled off of my car about 3 weeks ago when I ripped off my emissions. If you really don't care just remove all your emissions components. It really helps the look of the engine compartment anyway. Plus its just fun to work on a rex.

Not 100% sure what your saying, but you can remove the ACV and remove or disable the airpump. Just make sure you also remove the cat and put in a replacement pipe. Otherwise I think the cat will be ruined by not getting enough air.

I use RBs full street port exhaust, and simply left my airpump intact. Sure, it pumps air to "no-where", but I see no reason to bother with it, really. So, instead of blowing wind into a little tube to a cat, it blows to open air.

Then at least pull the belt off, takes like 1 minute. Then it only takes another 2 minutes to pull the pump and loose the weight. Just do it.

I've read that some owners have issues with the alternator belt slipping when the air pump belt is removed; thus, dual belts are sometimes used. Why bother with it. Would I really gain any noticable horsepower gain without the airpump belt?

Ok lets put this to rest.

Install a cat. replacement pipe and the block off plate on back on intake manifold.

Next:
1. Do nothing else and the air pressure builds up in the ACV and it blow out the valve and sends air all the time up to the air cleaner damaging vavle. DONE THIS to 2 cars already, making the valve junk.

2. Remove air pump belt, risk belt slippage if still using stock fan. Install double pulley or Yahoo belt.

3. Cut belt, remove Air pump, remove ACV and install block off plate (with gasket)

This is not difficult to understand, nothing here is very hard to do.
