Don't quote me on this, but I think it is 2 or 2.5 din with the tape, tuner, and eq. The front speakers are 4'' and rear are 6.5''.

Yeah, the speakers are 4" in front, and 6.5" in back, but be sure to get ones with a shallow enough top-mount depth (for the front; the back isn't much of a concern). As for the head unit, its 2.5 DIN.

The speaker holes in the back of my GS were 6 inches apart, with the speaker measuring 6.125" from end to end (you'd be safe getting 6.25" speakers for the rear, although you can install 6.5" speakers by drilling new holes. The front speakers are 4", measuring 4.5 inches from hole to hole. These specs are for the stock Clarion speakers. Good luck

2.5 din is with the eq, but your gonna have to make some sort of custom job to get a head unit in there. Of just buy Manntis's custom stereo surround.

I think you're right because the tape deck is larger than one din, with the radio being less than one din and the equalizer being close to one din. The radio, tape and equalizer measure 4.75" top to bottom.

In my 85 I have 2 single DIN units. I have my Pioneer DEHP740 and my DEQ-9200. And theres like a 1/2-3/4 inch left over.

Deustche Industriale Normale is 2"X7" Its a german term they used to set a basis for radio sizes...(Or ever how its spelt, but you get the idea)

This held true for type of plugs to and the sizes of the radios. Being that the germans started using a 'universal' radio size first.
