85 gl to 83 gl swap
I just got a complete axle assembly for a 85 gs rx7 and am making sure I can just swap out the rear end? I t looks to me that the drive shaft and everything else will just link up, and the only trouble I would get into is trying to swap parts from the 85 - 83 such as backing plats and axles, am I right?

you need to swap the watts link as well. (funky boomerang thing)
also, ensure you have the same type of rear end. (disk or drum)
If you have drum on your car now and you are getting a disk rear end, you need to get the brake plumbing from a GSL, and the proportioning valve. (the little metal box with brake lines coming out of it- near the master cylinder) The same is true if you are doing it the other way around, but I don't know why you would do that.
