85 dash into 83, ignition wiring?
Background:
I've been working on getting my 83 shell back to running order. I'm down to just the minimalist wiring and she should fire right up (knock on wood... I got the fuel pump pumping today). I'm using DiscoQuinn's thread on minimalist 12a wiring to aid me (https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/minimalist-12a-wiring-935875/) since my previous experience with wiring has been more or less none.
Further info:
I also put in the dashboard from an 85 since, when I got the 83 and then swapped the dash around, I thought that I was going to be able to put the 85 interior in the 83 and didn't know that they swapped over to a new interior in 84. Mostly it doesn't matter because since then, I've decided to turn the car into a stripped and caged autocross/rallycross car. No interior necessary.
Problem:
Ok so my question is about the differences in wiring with the ignition, or whether it is even applicable here (which I'm not sure of, because I don't believe the ignition wiring is even attached to the dash anywhere).
So in the wire diagrams it shows that the wires going from the fusible link to the ignition switch is black/white and I have that with a white/red. This goes to a male connector and the female end has a black/yellow and a white/red. There is one other similar style of connector there that has a black/white with a blue that goes to a male connector and the female end has a black/yellow with a blue.
I'm guessing that I'll need to rip apart these connectors and swap around the wires, but I didn't want to do so without any advice, tips, whatever you guys have.
