82 GS => Power Windows
Ok, so I have an 82 GS, and am in the midst of putting power windows in it. I got a power window switches and slot that they go in. Removed my tray and I see 2 plugs under it. One is a 2 prong and other is a 3 prong, both females.
My power window switches have a 4 probe male connection.
Looking in the FSM, they should have a 6 prong conection.
But the power window motors have a 2 prong connection.
Questions:
1. Do all RX-7's come prewired for this, or do you have to add the wiring?
2. What are the connections I have?
3. When I get the power window motors/arms, what else is there that I would be missing, if any?

That's strange, I was always under the assumption that even the older FBs came pre-prewired for Pwr Windows even if you didn order them that way...
Were did you get your power windows from?

That diagram shows a single 6-terminal switch for BOTH front windows.
A single window could be done with a 4-terminal switch of the proper type (internally wired as a polarity-reversing switch), or a standard 6-term generic switch with a little wiring magic (cross-poled DPDT-CO).

Generally wired for PW yes, but not all bodies have the door harness pre-wired, i.e., the widebody which started as an S model. Iirc, there was a change in the window switches at some point. Do you have the correct switches for your year? I have an S3 PW switch that is a 6 prong, but the rockers are different from yours.

Well, I got an 82, and I believe these are from an S2 as well.
Also, negative so far on the prewiring. I just took out the center counsel and as far as I can see, no wiring for the switches.

Fwiw, you posted the S3 wiring diagram, you need the 82 one instead.

I had to swap a short harness in the doors and a short harness under the driver's seat when I moved PW from an 84 GSLSE to an 84 GS. 81-83 also have a harness which connects the switches to the dash harness. It runs along the left side of the tunnel under the center console (not under the seat like 84-85). You can see it on the Section I locator page in the 82 diagram. It terminates with plug X-11 on one end and the two switch plugs (I-06 & I-07) on the other.
