I'll do my best to make it happen, it all depends on the willingness of the other car owner. I actually tried to call him tonight to see if he would come out for a drive, but there was no answer. As for the car being an auto, its a sport shift, so there is no clutch to use with your left foot, therefore... I just thout it was considered an auto.....

I own a civic si which shares the same motor as the base rsx, and I believe there is only a 1 lb. weight difference so they are practically the same with the exception of the Si's close gearing. (If defense of teh rsx-s which has a lil less torque in the bottom of the powerband, I can burn rubber in 1st, squeel in second, and chirp into 3rd)

With that said, I could tell you that my Si would pull the hell outta my rx7 were it stock. While there is a big weight difference, I'm still confident that the rx7 wouldnt really stand a chance.

Hmm... Well I worked it out with the guy today, and we're gonna go for next weekend... I right now have a ford taurus fan sitting in my car, I am hoping to throw that in this week sometime, I tried to before, but it was too tight of a fit with the shroud still on the fan... I am hoping to find some pictures of taurus fans installed, if anyone has one if they could post it that would be great. Just need to figure out the mounting end of things.

okay, coming from a person who has actually done this exact race.... hehehehe, there is a guy here that had 5-speed base model rsx. from the line i owned him, second gear he started catching up, but my 3rd held on for the win. we probably only raced an 1/8th. it was short. in the 1/4 he would definitley have caught and passed my *** for sure. but you guys cant just go by technical hoo ha. driver counts. the rx7 can be alot quicker than you think if you shift right. everyone seems to think holding out to 7,500 rpms and whatnot will make you go faster. i shift outta first at 6200, second at 6800, and third at around the same or higher. get in to second gear as quick as possible because that is where you will pick up your speed. good luck.

-edit- my motor was stock port 12a w/ full 2.25" exhaust and racing beat header. full emissions removed, upgraded ignition, blah blah blah. if i raced him now... MUHUHUAHAHAHAHAAAAA not a chance.
