82 12a turbo build and resto lots of pics

The risk factors that you may encounter with drawthrough is the fact that the throttle response will be slower (definantly have to learn how to drive it), and timing issues that can lead to spark knock. You can have "rotor knock" and never hear it. I'm just saying if you don't have a wideband O2 on there, don't assume it's tuned properly. The best a rotary runs is with the timing on the high side and pushing the lean side. Turbo, NA, or whatever. The best horsepower Steve Khan makes is pushing that envelope.
Nice build. I'm not knocking it. Just letting you know that you could make way more power with your same setup if it was blowthrough. Ben there. Done that. I quit playing with carbs a long time ago.

im sorry guys i have no way of taking a video im poor cant you tell by the carburator i cant afford blowthrough or i would have whent that way it is just to complicated/exspensive and its a personal preference all you have to do is make a full boost run and shut it off before you let off the gas stop and pull the leading plugs to see what they look like mine just happen to be golden brown witch is perfect with no pepper aka detonation me and my dad built a volkswagen manx buggy that was drawthrough 2275cc with a renault fuigo intake housing and gnx exaust housing with a holley 850 it made 25psi boost and ran 11.80 @108 i have done this before did you notice how i didnt ask for anybodys help?

I like this a lot. I have given some thought to trying this type of thing, however I have no experience with turbos what-so-ever, but then again, all it takes is some time, some good reading, and the will. It is encouraging to see it done and also that you noted it wasn't too pricey.

o ya he is talking about the risk of fuel puddling in the intake and it exploding but he must have forgot how much vacuum a rotary motor creates i dont believe you have to worry about it and drawthrough must be fairly safe because 90% of factory turbo cars before fuel injection were drawthrough the buick gnx the turbo trans am renualt fuigo just to name a few
