Here's the possibilities if the body is perfect w/ faded paint...
...engine dead... $100 - $400
...engine with a lot of miles, 100,000+... $300 - $1800
...same engine with 75,000 to above... $1500 - $3500
Perfect body, good paint, interior...
...engine dead... $300 - $1300
...engine with a lot of miles, 100,000+... $1000 - $4500
...same engine with 75,000 to above... $2200 - $8000
...same engine with 10,000 to above... $4500 - $15,000
All of this is based on my searches so far for another rex to replace the one that got totalled a month and a half ago....

Let it go...if it's smoking , the engine is ready to go and a rebuild will put you back about $1800...there will be another car if your patient...that is your typical $500 car but the owner is in denial...
