79-85 RX-7 Review(s)

Let's hear em'.

I thought I'd start a thread for people to talk about their rx's and write a review on em'. You know, what you like about them, there strengths or weaknesses, what made you buy one in the first place etc.

Now I know as original poster I should start with a review, unfortunately, I don't own one YET. This should be changing in the very near future though.

Overall great performer with sexy looks that stand the test of time. The only thing I really dont like is the steering. This car should of came with a rack, but I'm working on that

Inexpensive and fun, but unreliable. They are great for people that like to tinker on thier cars. I love the fact that they are relatively easy to work on. You dont gotta be a contortionist to get at most of the bolts, unlike many cars that come to mind.

the 89 convertible is a fantastic driving experience for me. A warm summer night on a smooth twisty road .... second and third gear in the range of the VDI is exhilerating. The attention from the finer sex in the grocery store parking lot also keeps me from ever getting rid of it

the all stock 79 is a totally different feeling. With the "Wonder Steering" (although tight), lower HP, power nothing, carb, manual choke, push button radio, I know I am in an OLD CAR . Its a great little car to drive and love it, but from a completely different time period. I am glad I have the stock 79 to remind me where the RX7 started from.

The innocent blue mica FD ........ this next experience is still just a dream

Fixxed ! I love my 82 GS. Very fun though not extremely fast but still very enjoyable to drive. She has those classic lines that are very sexy IMO. She is extremely reliable (and is very eay to work on) and she is so much fun in the twisties. I love her...i won't be getting rid of her. Even my gf likes the car (except for how small it is lol).
