It's good to know the 30 pound flywheels don't need to be used.
Are the front counterweights between '76-'80 and '81-'82 actually the same weight? I am kinda curious about this. I know the GSL-SE front CWs have a 45º edge to get around the aux port casting, yet are compatible with any '74-'85 rotating assembly.
Did Mazda change the shape for '81-'82 simply to differentiate or is there another reason like the lighter flywheel? I've always been curious.

yes i would like to know as well since iam waiting for installation of the flywheel to drop this puppy in. i want to use the 79-80 front cw with the 81-82 flywheel
it has to work since theres only one rear cw for 79-82 right?
