So i got a gslse not too long ago, haven't really had time to work on it.. but i do know that my 5th and 6th ports aren't opening.. the pipe is gone from under the car, broke off the cat from the looks of it, but i saw nothing else.. so my question is where's the hose on the intake manifold? is it the small vacuum hose? i have the racing beat header/presilencer sitting in my floor waiting to go on, but wanting to know what the tube looks like that goes into the presilencer.. Pics would be nice, can't seem to find any from the search..

 

My GSL-SE motor is sitting on my garage floor too, but it came to me with a
Racing Beat header. There is a small tube sticking out of the header with a
little hose attached, which leads to a T and then to both actuators. The hose
looks a lot like vacuum line, but I don't think it is (else the heat of the header
would waste it pretty quick).

 

The actuator is not hard to find. On the exhaust side just above the manifold, you can't miss it. It has a small lever on it. Work it with your hand, if it works then take a wire tire, wrap around it and lock it open. Some say that you lose low end torque.......I couldn't notice any difference on the low end, but did notice the gain on the high end.

I know where the actuators are on the manifold, i was asking for the hose that runs to the cat/ RB presilencer. my presilencer flange has another flange bolted to it, but it's a broken metal pipe.. i see a little hose running under the manifold, i'm assuming that's what i need to get running into the presilencer... my only confusion is that the hose is a like a vacuum hose, while the presilencer has a metal hose (though broken)... Anyone have any pics? I'll search around the site, but hopefully someone can read through my mess and help me out.. thanks.
