48mm Dellorto question

I just picked up a used Dellorto 48mm carb with a RB intake. I have found that there are carbs tuned for stock port and carbs that were tuned for street port as delivered. Is there any way to tell them apart? The guy I bought it from had no usefull info for me as to which it is.

Side thought- Is there any kind of throttle position solenoid for these so I can run air conditioning? Is it necessary?

You might need to crack open the top a bit and take a look at what jets are being used. For the most part the chokes and jetting are identical between the two setups but there a few that get changed for the street ported version. I'm not sure they changed anything for the street ported application but they did have different jetting recommendation. Every street port is a bt different I would imagine. See this site for more info.

I've had one of these on my stock port 12a for years and its works great. I'll look thru the old catalogs I have from when RB sold this and get back to you if I find any mention of the jetting for street ports.

as stated above, just take out the jets and see what you've got, then do what you need to do from there.
