I'd have to agree. The only reason to keep an EFI pump is if you were boosting (so it covers the increased pressure required when under boost).
Since you are NA, you really should look for a low pressure high volume pump like a Carter. Look for the one with 72GPH and 3/8" fittings. They run like 6psi which can more easily be brought down to 2.5 without stressing the pump so hard.

alright thanks drive fast...I already have the whole gslse fuel system installed in my car with a Mallory fpr and a gauge, just wondering if there was anything else other than the holley...so looks like i'll just have to get the carter and holley, I guess I did do something right a few years ago, I did want bigger supply and fuel lines and a great fuel filter by installing the full fuel setup from a gslse
