44 IDF help

Well, since I'm stalled on my 48 DHLA, I'm going to start working on my other setup till I get it worked out. I've got an IDF manifold for a 12a and a 44 IDF to go on it. Now before everyone starts telling me I need an IDA etc., etc., etc., The IDA is on the list, but right now I already have the IDF. Sooooo ...... The carb was supposedly jetted for a stock port 12a, but who knows if it even ran or ran well. My first ? is - Would using the same jetting as I am on my 45 dcoe be a good baseline for the 44 IDF? My motor has a large street port. I realise I'm not going to get the top end on the IDF I can from my dcoe, but the diameter is close and the chokes are too. If anyone here actually has experience with this setup, I'd appreciate some pointers, maybe a known workable baseline.

I have a 48 idf and a extended street port also. Works great, can't complain. Run a 200 main, f9 emulsion and 140 air. That's what I run. And I have a pressurized air box.

Crispin38- Thanks! What size chokes do you have on the 48? My 44 has 36mm's, which is also the same size as the chokes on the dcoe thats on it now. Also what size pump jets?

Dang you guys and your Weber setups. Anyone have a spare Weber setup to trade for a full Racing Beat street port Holley setup? I miss my 45 DCOE, haha...

i really have no idea, the carb was given to me from a guy who use to race GT3 in SCCA. And i haven't touched it because it's just flawless.
As far as idle jets go, you should be fine just getting the idle mixture itself right with your idle mixture screws.
hmm... i think it has 40mm chokes, but i'm not sure, they're quite massive thought. I make NO bottom end power whatsover. (and i dont think that's only due do to my massive ports either)
You should be fine, i wouldn't overthink anything. You shouldn't have to, the weber carb is just an amazing carb. Especially the IDF, it's no different then the IDA, it's only more streetable..
