Talking 4 year project near completion!*pics*

Well it's taken my father and I a little over 4 years to get to where we are now, mainly due to funding but it's all good. We started the project as a way to keep me and school and maybe teach me a new trade and to much sucess. She was the "family hooker" having 10+ owners which were mostly family members who trated her badly, and after 15 years she had enough and called it quits.

That's when we stepped in and stole her away to make her a queen, of my garage. So without boring you guys further here she is..

Yep. The car was an 82 gs, but most of it has been upgraded to gsl-se standards with p/windows ect.

The engine is also off of an 85 gsl-se with a 4 port conversion, ceramic 3mm apex seals, street port, FM Oil cooler, TII Trans. A holley (650?cfm) carb, dual alternator pulleys, 3in. straighr exaust leading to a nice and quiet muffler.

Interior, the seats were in reaaaaly really bad condition, not even worth changin the cover. The guy at the junk yard gave us a nice deal on some honda prelude seats (almost free) so we took them as temporaries and ended up keeping them. Leather Interior (mostly re-done by us by hand with no previous knowledge) with the suede seats. A pioneer head-unit, poineer speakers in the front and back and a pioneer amp and sub set with two 8 in. subs in a custom box (done by us on a weekend)

To tie it all together one of the best fb drivers in the world, me. Cause I barley hit 20 on the streets and almost never hit the highway! Plus I treat her better than my g-f. We often have 3-somes with the fb getting most of the love (j-k)

Is that new paint! looks sharp! Whats that gauge in the dash. I cant make it out with all that bling you got going on! I like how the flash reflects of the air cleaner and makes it all shiny!!

I too treat me car better than anything else. If i could make love to my car I would. Really! I tried once, but I dont like to take about it.

The gauge is one of those cheap last min. water temp. gauges from autozone. It came in when nessisary but I plan on swapin it along with adding some others when the budget allows it.

New paint? Yeah about a year old now. Still looks new though. It's a really crazy color scheme. The base is a mica green with a coat of charcol grey over it so it changes color with the light (forgot what they call it) It also has some hints of blue, gold, black and green faded in. It sounds like a crap *** job but looks stunning. One to look at in person.

I like the wheel. What is it? Kinda reminds of a Nardi.

No kidding lol. You spend 4 years on a car and no one bothers to get a 5 dollar junkyard hood prop. I love it, just my style.

But, I might have to get that wheel when I get another FB one day... sigh

Car looks gorgeous, congrats.
but i have one issue:

To tie it all together one of the best fb drivers in the world, me. Cause I barley hit 20 on the streets and almost never hit the highway! Plus I treat her better than my g-f. We often have 3-somes with the fb getting most of the love (j-k)
dude... you spent 4 years building it and you aren't even going to enjoy it? that's terrible. treat yourself! what else is it for? ceramic seals? upgraded suspension? damn...
besides, redlining reduces carbon.

Everytime we hit the junkyard, the hood prop off an fb has already been taken or bent.

Enjoy it? There's a fine line between enjoyment and killing yourself. I'd rather not come close to it.

You're kidding! And they bolted right in?! What year Prelude?

Sounds to me like there's a new source of cheap racing seats off eBay.

EDIT: Way to ******* read... Original poster said it...

Would still like to know the year of Prelude though.

That is what I plan on doing with my FB project. A father and son mission just to keep my son off the playstation. Plus he has a knack for cars like his old man. But that is one sharp FB. Congrats to you and your father.
