4-lug Mustang Wheels On A Gsl-se?
I remember reading somewhere that the GSL-SE uses the same-size wheels (4.5x114) as a 4-lug Mustang.
Anyone know if this is true?
I know there is a massive shortage of wheel selection for these 7's; but there are TONS of wheels for the 4-lug Stang. Would open a world of possibilities.
Only thing is most are 16"x7" at minimum. Most of the good ones are 8" or 9" wide and 17" tall.

I read it on Granny's Speedshop website:
"The '84-'85 13B powered GSL-SE cars had a 4 on 4-1/2" wheel lug pattern (same as 4 lug Ford Mustangs, etc)."

Yes they have a 4 X 114MM bolt pattern. Unfortuneatly thats only the small portion of
the equation. It's offset and rim design that either makes a rim functional or non- functional.
We have a greater selection of rims for the Se anyways. We however have a shortage of rims for the 4 X110 MM bolt pattern which is everything but the SE.
If you really want a custom set of rims for your 4 X 110 MM pattern for the non-Se models then contact Boyd Wheels.
I had them make a custom set for one of my non- Se models about 9-10 years ago. Just went into the local wheel shop and picked out a design. You have to make sure that they build them with the offset that you want also. I also have them double drill them so I could fit them on my SE. 2 for the price of one.:-)

yup, there are tons on 4 lug Mustang rims out there, but used Ford the 4x108mm or 4 x 4.25" bolt pattern from 1979 through 1993, none other(different diameter rims of course), and from 1994 on they switched 5 lug x 114.3 bolt pattern.

I see allot of aftermarket 15" wheels that have the 4x114.3mm pattern. Some are dual drilled to accept 4x100mm as well.
Check out the Sportmax wheels at Pack Racing - www.packracingproducts.com. Edge Racing has them too - www.edgeracing.com
Also Nissan 280Z wheels have the 4x114.3mm pattern as well.

I am looking for wheels as well...
what is the "correct" offset I should be looking for/asking for when wheel shopping?
I see a decent selection of 4x114.3 but like everyone says..the offset can be all wrong and you will look goofy.
TIA with any help!
