It's 4-71. I believe the number means 4 cylinders, 71 cubic inches per cylinder. It was a scavenge blower on Detroit Diesel 2-stroke Diesel engines of the same name.
And then of course there are the 6-71 and 8-71 blowers...

yeah, thats what it is, i think that the 6-71 would be a bit much don't ya think?? and i don't even wanna think about the 8-71....

Overkill is a band, not a concept.
Chew on this: Roots blowers are VERY inefficient because of how much they beat the air. A larger blower turning slower will beat the air less.
So you could still run 6-7psi of boost and have efficiency possibly as high as 50% instead of 35 or lower (even into negative numbers). And beyond the less stress on the engine, additional power might even be enough to compensate for all the added weight.
