S2000 guys have been paying huge $ for stock Kia Sportage 4.77 gears for a while...But luckily that big s2000 market means a new part for FB's and 1.8 miatas.

I was unaware that s2000 gear set worked on our cars. Good info. My 4.88:1 set was less than $300 from Mazdacomp IIRC though.

I think the 4.57's will be available cheaper as other suppliers pick them up.

I'm still undecided myself. 4.88's are priced well, 4.77's from a wrecker would be even better. However, I'm confident that if I cryo treated the 4.57's and put them with a Torsen, I would never break anything in there.

for those who dont know are we talking about using these kia gearsets on fb limited slip rears or using a miata torsen rear with these gearsets and installing it in the fb? im confused or is there an entire kia internal or axle swap ive heard things about miata torsen and kia parts being used but was curios to the exact setup you plan on using?
thanks
