Talking 3rd gen compared to me 85 gsl

I was driving along tonight and i saw a 3rd gen 7... i was like wow there are other rotorheads in wichita, ks... all the ricers were out b/c of some video thats b/n shot... but i pulled up beside him and he rev'd up... i was like wow that is a weed eater on estrogine pills... my car has a damn rice cooker on the back, b/c my old exhaust was holy, i just laughed rev'd at him and i seriously think he bowed his head b/c i thought i had something... i just laughed and got on the high way... but man i love my first gen... one thing thats better than the 3rd gen is that it sounds better... thats about it for now with the primer grey and black and stripped interior... just thought i would share b/c i thought it was hilarious

There are other rotorheads in Wichita, KS. I just got my 1st gen back on the road after a GSL-SE suspension swap. Maybe I will see ya around.

So.... your revved your car at a rotary guy, didn't stop to say hello, and then came on here to tell us about it? Atop of that... you've been around since September of '05. Why did you not stop him to say hi, at least. And also... he probably bowed his head as a nod of approvement that you're driving a rotary powered car like him... Not so much that you "had something."

I'm a third gen guy, but i'll give that nod of approval for any rotary that passes me, even if i don't like the older rx-7's. I just find it funny that those guys try to race me, when they're stock. Maybe they just want to see how fast the 3rd gen's are...anyway

well my car is primer hood and front fenders and the rest is this nasty black primer that the guy who owned it b4 me tryed to do (moron), i like 3rd gen's also but to much $$$ for me... paying my way through college and working full time = no money... but i would never get rid of my first gen ever... even if my friends tell me its ugly and i should buy a new car... all i can say is its a rotory thing, just like dsm is a dsm thing

I prefer FB's over FD's for one simple reason - cost of repairs. Other than that the FD is far superior. I will never get rid of both my FB's, always have to have at least one. An FD is a dream though, definitely.

i like my SA better than any of the others b/c it is more simple then a 2nd gen or 3rd gen. dont get me wrong, i would love a 2nd/3rd gens but there much more complicated and expencive. but i dont think i will ever sell my 7. not even for a 2nd or 3rd gen.

I'm with normality glitch and yellow '79, the fb is much cheaper and easier to maintain. I miss my FC in the corners though and third gens are just sex on wheels IMO.

first gen is less expensive to fix too too much stuff under the FD's hood my boy selling his & going back to the FB but he's scared he's gonna kill himself in a FB if he does the work he wants in it. I like the look of the FD love the independan rear whell suspension of both the FC & FD but the FB's well they're the great grand Daddys of the RX7 movement not the rotary movement cause there were previous RX models as you know. But i love MY FB not taking away from other rotaries but it fits like a glove to me everything is within reach i can see over my hood without a prob the defrost in the rain sucks but other than that it's a great lil car & has alot of room for upgrading can go from 12A to 13B to T2 to FD transplant super charger transplant & Turbo transplant & still room to work on it Hey even a 12B if you have the knowhow.

Or, at least a wave. I got a nod and a rev from a guy who had a white SA that I parked beside.

Even tho I have a sa and love it for a its simpleness I'd have to say that fcs look the best. in hp terms the 13b is the best, well tec the 20b but 13 is my fav.
