Specs

stock 12a with approx. 180k miles
series 4 turbo
NPR 16 row IC
Mikunii 44phh

I'm getting 3.5-4 psi. I suspect the base plate for the bonnet is the culperat for the low boost number. It is tin and bent all to hell and I can feel air come from around it when I'm playing with it in the drive way. I have some 1/8" aluminium and will be making a new one here in the next couple of days.

....and just so no goes talking ****, yes the IC piping is made from ABS plumbing pipe I got from Home Depot. I did this for a working mokup. It will be replaced shortly with stainless steel.

Team Dynamics- 16x7 Monza

Custom drilled to 4x110 with a 28mm offset. That makes me feel so special when I get to say "custom drilled".

Where did you get them, and or have them drilled? Also, if you dont mind, how much did the drilling cost? You are in my area, and I havent found anyone to do it yet...Any tips would be great. Thanks

~T.J.

PS - Is the 28mm offset the stock offset? How did you decide on that offset? Thats the only thing im not sure about with these wheels (I think, lol)

Hey moremazda, that's pretty neat. You think you could post more pics of your setup/cost/parts list?

Here is the muffler. I'll have to do a little diging/cringing, but I'll put together a list of stuff I bought and made.

Well, I'm not sure. I was hoping for 8psi. It is a series 4 turbo. Since I have a 3" exhaust I was figuring on 3-4 psi increase over the stock 5.5psi, but I am using a pretty small airfilter on the turbo and the NPR, I'm guessing, is probably going to give about 1 lbs of pressure drop.

But you know, I just found this blue box in the closet, oh, look, it's a ProfecB, I wounder what a 12a's breaking point is

Is that a Magnaflow? If so, what's the part number.
I have already heard them up close and really like the look and sound on a Turbo rotary.

psi, as you know is pounds per square inch ...
that is a measurement for "pressure" (you have psi, bar, mmHg, etc)

i don't know what else you know and what you don't know, so if at any point it seems like i'm trying to talk down to you ... you have my sincerest apologies!

well, on an engine with forced induction (turbo or supercharger) you will have positive manifold pressure when you're under boost. psi is just the quantitative measurement of that pressure ...

hope this helps

a normal n/a engine sucks in air using the engines compression.

in some older cars they have the vacume reading on the istument pannel.

with a turbo or supercharge (these are just like air compressors) they force air into the engine.

the psi reading is the pressure of air being built up as rev increase in ur intake pipe(between the tubro and engine.)

boost is just a word used to describe the building up of pressure.
