I have a black vert, I took some 600grit paper and some 1000, and a polishing wheel and polished all lips on the rims, looks realllllly nice once their all done.

The wheels look wrong, they are more like a Honda style rice add-on. As a matter of priority, to give better appearance you should fit a wide body kit so it looks like a SCCA car. In practice you will get significant local tire wear which means frequent wheel balancing besides short tire life.
Interestingly your performance will be down due to increased air and road drag, while if the rolling circumference has been increased then acceleration may be slower but fuel consumption better. Wide is not necessarily better as it influences suspension geometry and adds stress. Gen 1 rear suspension has limited
performance due to cost minimisation factors when being designed. This is why early Mazda RX-7 rally cars had parallel rear axle links.
But if you like the wheels, that's all that matters.

being a light weight wheel and wider than stock wheels, i don't see why its a bad thing.
