2nd gen 3rd member?

Does any body know if there is a 3rd member that can be swaped in to a first gen? By the way I blew up the se already in less than 2 months

Really? My SE rearend has held 300hp for over 3 years!
The only one I know of that will bolt in is a Miata pumpkin.You can get it with a Torsen LSD,but theyre rare,so finding one can be tough.And since its the same dimensons,I doubt it would be any stronger.Plus,1st gens tend to twist their axles under high HP/torque situations,so changing the 3rd member wont solve all your problems.
Id either keep a stock of axles and 3rd members handy,or get all new components and have them cryo treated to take the abuse.Its either that,or have a Ford 8-9" axle built to fit.

I guess I am a hard driver, plus I was putting down a little more than 300hp. But thanks for all the info..
