2gdfis coil question

is it absoloubtly necessary to retain the stock coil + connection after installing the 2g coil?

i installed my set up today and it seems to climb rpms faster and sounds a little more relaxed at idle, but i dont want to take it out and test it until i know everything is right

You should take the wires that lead off the stock leading coil's posts and put them onto their respective posts/wires onto the 2nd Gen coil.

gsl-se addict did a post about setting up the ignition. My acceleration sure feels smoother, but that could all be in my head.
