Ford T-bird (5000lb car) with a mildly built up 429 in it. 2mpg was city driving in the winter. Usually it was about 15-17, up to 23-24 on long highway drives. City mileage was awful because of the 2.77 gears I never swapped out of it. So it was on the converter most of the time, that generates heat, generating heat wastes fuel. Plus it meant you needed a bit more umph to pull away from a stop.

Worst I've had in an RX-7 was 9mpg... city driving in the winter.

250horses outta da 12a turbo

well really, you could get 900hp out of a 12a turbo, it just depends how much money u have. i would go with a nice port, external wastegate, exhaust, abit of extra boost and some bigger injectors or a bigger fuel pump. im about 2 throw an injected 12a turbo in2 my s2 and im doing enuf work to run low 11s. anything is possible.
