I wonder where our friend who was claiming he was the next Iberra is? He's going to offer a full kit on how to do it! (once he's done putting in his Honda just to spite us that is ).

Just talking out of my *** here, but given that there's a pile of space between the rad and the front of the car, if you were to move the rad forward, I think you could probably fit the 20B in fairly easily as far as dimensions go. Having never done a custom engine install, I don't know anything about what one would need for engine mounts/cradle.

Cutting the firewall and setting the engine and tranny back is the way I've seen it done. Not's not very cheap or easy.
I think some people have put them in without doing this.

found this in my pm box here with the title "take a look **********"
normally, I'd consider this just more of that lovely **** spam I've gotten of late, but somehow the link made it look more germane...

His quality is evident though. As dirty as that engine is, he's surely no hitman (he did claim to be the next one, right?).
I never doubted it'd fit (hell, none of us here did)- I just doubt he'll be able to keep his ****-bitish mouth shut long enough to not **** off any potential clients (plus where is the almighty super secret kit stuff?). Seems he just didn't like getting flamed, so he ran to another forum. Thought he was going to stay in the tech section here? Did they call bullshit on his credentials too?
Must be past my nap time - I'm never this grumpy...

Heres how I would do it.
20B has mounts on the sides right?
Get a Radiator that will mount in the front bumper area.
Mount a FC cooler in front of that.
s4 trans with FB shift linkage,
make mounts for the engine.
Haltech E11
if you want a Turbo 20b, thats a whole different story.
Hitman has a 3 rotor 13b. It is NOT a 20b, it is somewhat shorter and fits in the bayh better, but He Paid a TON for that thing, im sure.
Nothing is impossible if your imagination is Big enough.
People who say something is too difficult to do, just cant think up a plausable way of doing it.

82streetracer, methinks you lack the full appreciation of my comments.

I'm quite aware the Hitman's 3 rotor is NOT a 20B. Just read, understand, return and laugh

I was wondering the same thing... I think it would be alot simpler to use a 12a front cover if possable and go carb... I have seen some decent prices on 20b's with none of the manifolds or senors on them... a little modification to the mounts and you have it as long as the front covers interchange... and you can get a distributor...

Pratch lets put this $hit to rest....u dont like me & i dont like u,lets leave it at that...if u dont have any constructive input on my project, then do us all a favor and shutup....the BMX bike cable that i was gonna use to control my mechanical OMP was not my idea, it was given to me by 2 good rotary builders....Marcos Acosta Sr & jesus padilla (kilo) both used the BMX cable to control there OMP one time or the other before switching to premix,so if u have a problem with there innovative thinking then take it to them....this project has a major domino effect, u cant cut, bolt, weld anything without first looking at the whole picture or else the decision u make my placing a part a certain way or cutting something will affect the way other parts work and function....so this project cannot be made into a do-it-yourself kit,its to difficult...for the guys that wanna try it without cutting the firewall, give it a shot its not to hard, but i wouldn't recommend going turbo cuz that added weight of the turbo system will offset the balance of the car even more...my opinion is stick to a 13b turbo, its cheaper & will make more power than a NA 20b...the twins wont fit no matter what u try,so i'll be running a T-88 with a street port and E11...the E11 would control the 20b OMP so theres no need to use a BMX cable and early style OMP....i'm basically using a rx7 body, front struts & steering, every other part will be custom built....BTW i'm looking for a 1980 1st gen body with no motor or interior...the body must be rust free and must be within driving distance from NYC, if any of u have one forsale please let me know...peace

so it can be done without cutting the firewall. That's kinda cool.
I had already figured out you wouldn't be making a kit. You're not the first 20B swap, you won't be the last, and nobody makes a kit.
I'm sure the BMX cable is an elegant solution - it's just ghetto in my book. if it works though - it'll get my support (just look at the jiffy-pop Inuslated Cold Air Intake somtime).
only issue I ever had with you is that you came on spouting your mouth, trash-talked, then being ripped apart in a debate, resorted to "let's race". Go back and re-read the thread, and you'll see that if you treat others with respect, you'll find I have your back. If you give others **** - I'll be there throwing it right back.
I'm a nice guy, but I'm a real bastard when I'm pissed off. Consider this my accepting the idea that we bury the hatchet. If I see you reaching for it though, I'll have no problems being as inhospitible as I was before

If I were to do it, I'd SC it.. less crap to deal with... no ECU to worry about. You'd probably pay about the same with the SC, but you'd have more power. (I'm talking just getting the haltech to run the thing... that would be about as much or more than the SC.) Doing all the turbo work would probably cost you even more, so... SC may even be cheaper.

The whole 20b thing should work because thats what kilo had in one of his 1st gens before they told him that it was an illegal swap.
Oh btw have you heard that he took the record again by running something like a 9.5 down in westpalm beach with his all motor 13b. Friend that lives down there told me about it.
