1st gen smoking problem

Hey all, I recently have been having a lot of smoke coming from my car. I have 2 suspicions. I replaced my thermostat and started seeing the smoke. But around the same time I started premixing. I decided to look at the cooling system first. I ordered a new thermostat, thermostat housing, gasket, (and used sealer on gasket) and radiator hoses. After all of this the smoke still comes. The smoke does not appear when the car is driving or stopped at a stop sign, only when the car is off. I did a test to confirm this. I went for a drive and pulled into my garage, no smoke while running. However as soon as I turn it off smoke appears from airbox and the thermal reactor. Could this be the result of adding too much premix? It smells like coolant but I am new to using premix so I have no idea what it smells like.

Any help would be appreciated.

Smoke emanating from air box- taken from video that’s why it’s shaky

Take the air box off and do teh same test and you'll be able to see exactly where it is coming from.

Your intake manifold O-rings are leaking. Not the gasket, the 2× O-rings which route engine block coolant through the intake manifold to help with fuel atomization. Lots of guys install freeze plugs into those ports after coating with silicone sealant. It's a common failure point with Series2 cars.

It could be leaking coolant.

The intake manifold is part of a coolant circuit, and has two o-rings wedged between it and the engine block. They wear, and when they wear, coolant seeps into the combustion chamber which burns the coolant. This is just one possibility, and I'm mentioning it since white smoke is coming out of your air filter, as did mine.

Are there any coolant leaks in and around the intake manifold? A coolant pressure test could help.
