1st gen haltech guys, help me out.
Got my haltech, very excited, going to install it this weekend.
Its a E6k from Cobb tuning, set up for a Impreza, its a Terminated 4cly loom.
Mounting: plan to mount it in the passenger side storage bin, along with the battery, the relays/fuses and whatever else, this makes wiring of the fuel pump and haltech power easier. THe battery is a standard, marine type battery. with proper venting.
grey-ignition switched +12v, where should I hook this up, I was thinking if I couldnt find anything else, I could use the original fuel pump power wires from the back of the car, thats only on with KO and works during cranking.
Ignition module? the manuel shows a 7 pin connector hooked up to a Bosch module.
On my loom, this 7 pin connector is just hooked to anouther connector with two loose wire coming out.
could someone explain this part of the haltech and how it is used with a rotary, if at all.
Got my turbo manifold also, so Ill have some pix coming.
thanks

there is also a dial hooked up close to the haltech, it has what looks like a Trailer hookup on it, attaching it to the loom.
The guy who sold it to me said it had something to do with adjusting the ignition advance or something.
I probably wont use it for this but is there something else I should use it for?

yeh I have seen hitmans site, and read through his installation page, I have also read throuhg about 75% of the haltech manual (lot of useless stuff)
My question is not how to hook it up (although I have not yet), im asking if I need the bosch igniton module that they show in the manual.
On page 17 of the haltech manual, there is a picture of a 7 pin connector, there is a Bosch module hooked to it.
there are 5 wires coming from the connector.
white wire and black wire (go to) <wht> ign signal <blk> Signal ground
DOOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!
just read that this is the is for Intellegent ignitors.
im just using the stock ones in the CAS or whatever, RIght???
