1st gen FRONT STRUT FREEPLAY
YES I HAVE SEARCH AND NO RESULTS SHOWED. My question is on the front
strut(s)of the 1st gen, right in the middle is a big nut surrounding the cylinder and the piston shaft, located just below the coil. Is this adjustable? i.e can it be tightened?, reason I am asking is the strut has a little freeplay and a little effect of the camber on the front wheels. I've tighten the tower end a has no affect. Cheers Jay.

That sounds like the collar that holds the strut insert in the housing. It should be tight so the insert doesn't move at all. If it has been loose for a while I'd look at the strut shaft to see if the chrome has been worn off from rubbing. If it has the seal will go soon and you will need to replace it.
