1st Coat on the SA
#3
Well, the thing is, I have a new set of wheels/tires coming soon, so I'm not worried about the tires.. And no, it's out of a sprayer. I'm new to this kinda paint, and didn't know it needs to be sprayed on thick. So when I go to do the coat, I'm gonna have my friend's dad who's used this kind of paint plenty of times do the last coat for me.

If those pics were taken after the paint flashed, then I suggest you resand. From the looks of the back, by the time you get enough paint on it for a smooth coat, it will be too thick.
It's not fun, I've had to resand a couple of mine, but you will be happier in the end. Btw, why enamel, I use a single stage urethane when I'm not using a clearcoat, toughest stuff I've worked with, except the epoxys.
Good to see other owners taking on projects like this.

looks great
my grandfather and i painted my car this past summer with acyrilic enamel. We colorsanded and buffed it and it turned out great. It took out the orange peel, runs, and buggers in the paint. If you do this though, my advice is to spray quite a bit of paint to make sure that you don't burn through.
good luck with the rest
