1985 Rx7 GSL wont start
hey yall..
I jus bought my Rx7 like a week ago from my boy. the First couple of days it was running like a beast..
it doesnt have a air filter, but will get one tomorrow.. I had to quit my job because it wouldnt turn on in the morning.. where I live the climate is startin to get low.. at like mid 20s...
Whenever it doesnt seem to start, my battery dies from tryin to start it over n over... i been reading and I guess its jus dat its flooded. I myself cant unflood it. but I usually call the previous owner and he comes by and unfloods it by puttin his hands over da Carb and he pulls on da line dat i connected to dat thing u pull while ur inside da car to keep da REV high... is that safe for the car??
i dnt really know da names of everything in da motor so can any1 help me out on how to unflood my RX7?
do I need a tune up?

Not to be a dick- but if you have to quit your job because you can't get your 7 to start, you might want to buy a honda and get a job, or get a job and buy a honda, or something else that involves a job and a honda.
First things first though so you can get to an interview or a used car dealership-
1- Put an airfilter in it... christ, wtf are you thinking? They're like $4.
2- Unscrew the leading spark plugs on both rotor housings housings (driver's side of the motor, they are the bottom plugs) and remove the wires from the trailing plugs (top plugs).
3- Get in the car and turn the car over for a second or two.
4- Replace everything you just removed.
5- Start your car.
6- If it doesn't catch after a few, pump the gas a couple of times while turning it over.
7- If this doesn't work- search "flooding" using the search forum buttom up top for a more in depth process of drying out your engine.
