15inch wheels for '85 RX-7????

Building up an '85 RX-7 for SCCA ClubRally, with a few RallyX's to get it sorted, and am looking for some lighter/bigger wheels and so far no good. Any good info out there. Called TireRack, and they had one, and only in 14". What do you know? Thanx for the info, JoeRally

check out www.panasport.com thats about the only good looking 15" wheel that you can buy new trhat looks good unless you switch all your suspension over to SE, then the sky is the limit as wheel styles and sizes go.... but check the rules on switching suspension first...

I know a guy (located in Colorado even) who might have some some wheels for you. I know he's got a bunch of 13" because I'm going to get some from him for my '85 GSL. E-mail me at stang66hcs@yahoo.com and I'l try to get some contact info for you (I don't have it on me unfortunatly).

BTW, where in Colorado are you located?

My SE has 15x6 Panasport ProRally's for street use. Most RX-7 rally cars I've seen have had stock rims on them, as the they take a harsh beating, and at around 170 bucks a pop each for a single new wheel, damaging them isn't an option, especially on a budget and the necessity of having several full sets of wheels and tires to run a rally. RallyXing courses dont look as rough though typically.
FD Racer who are you having build your car?

Joe Rally, i think this is about what you can buy:

Kosei K1 racing in 15x7"
AT italia 15x6.5'
Both at tirerack.com

15x7" ROH snyper's At jdwheels.com

And of course the panasports at kspeed.com

Unless you want to get custom wheels made by simmons and spend more than your car is worth.

Look used, you might find something you like. And a new tool i just found out about.

list.auctions.yahoo.co.jp

Translate it a altavista.com's bable fish. There is all kinds of stuff on there. Then the only problem is getting it here.

I will recommend the Kosie K1's. I have them on my 85Gs and love them!!! They are also pretty cheap, and very light weight.
www.tirerack.com
They have about the cheapest K1's around.
Also, for rally the 13's should be better, you can manipulate the air pressure more to get traction on different course conditions.

Since this will be our (a good friend and I are going in together) first venture into rallying, we're looking into buying a used rally car, probably a first gen. Any additional building/work on the car will be done by us... well, as much as possible.

Yeah I hear ya on the 13's, but I also heard that the best tires usually arent available in 13 inch.
