140 d.b.'s! I got a 1st place trophy

I was at Custom Sounds last week because my friend [who is sponcered by them] needed some extra points. Anyway, I hit 140 d.b.'s w/one 12" Fosgate P3 & a Fosgate P 5 amp! And yes, they are in my 7! Although I can't mount them because I was broken into! They got a JL 15, a crappy amp & my C.D player! They threw a young bolder through the driver side window! Needless to say..., I take it out at nite now! I even got an alarm but I still don't feel safe!

Thats pretty good. How much power does it have and what size box. We need the details.

fatboy7, you don't actually sit in the car if you have a remote. If you don't have a remote, then you can wear ear plugs, but even thats not enough sometimes.

i built a custom box in my 7 and it bumps pretty loud. i have 2 12" alpine type r's. 1000watts peak each. i have everything alpine. amp, headunit,6x9, tweeters, subs. its awsome. never been to a competition though, i should go to one real soon. the hardest part of my instalation was the box i built. exactly 1 sqft. for each sub. looks nice. ill post pics in about a week if anyone is intrested in seeing my subs in my car. maybe ill start my own thread. i once hooked up a lanzar 1400watt amp to one of my type r subs and i had both volt meters on the amp burried in the red, my sub wanted more power. i didnt want to push it even though i have the warrenty still.

The amps max is 1840 watts , thats whats on the birth papers. It's rms is 600, the subs max is 1000 rms 600.

For some reason I thought this post would be about exhaust volume.

Thatd be awsome. Go to a DB drag and win with your open header rotary.

Well, I have 1 12" pioneer rated at 500 watts max and 200 rms. I run it with a 300 watt max amp with 150 rms.
You can see pics here. This the really hits hard. The ports can be shortened by taking off the U bend part. This also cuts the excursion of the sub in half, allowing more power to be put to the sub, to a max of probably 450-500 watts. I have the port extensions on there to make the sub sound better for SQ. Its clean all the way up to max excursion. With the port extensions off, the sound is kinda messy, but its louder than hell. Probably can hit 130 db with it, but I really didn't build it to go much over that. I don't plan on going into competition with it. It for personal pleasure.

You obviously have misplaced values.
