Welcome to the forum.
These are very common upgrades to the Gen 1 and as such have been covered in detail in past threads. If you look at the top of the page there is a search button. As a starting point I suggest you search there for the preliminary information you need. If later there is a specific point you do not understand, please come back and ask a specific question.
Depending on how much work you do yourself, how good a mechanic you are, and what sources of parts you use it could cost up to $8,000. It is not a simple bolt in task, for example you will be changing from carb to electronic fuel injection, and need a new fuel delivery system. In addition with the increase in power it is advisable to upgrade brakes, clutch and suspension.
Read the search threads, then plan what you really need, remembering everything will take 50% longer and 50% more expensive than the initialplan.
As I said, welcome to the forum, search the threads, and good luck.
