S4 13B is what we recommend, Jon. You don't have to modify the omp. Just swap the front plate with a GSL-SE front plate, use a GSL-SE oil pan and the S4 TII ECU, you got a winner.

3,500 post newb?!
Since the Cosmo engines are a mutt (X-breed of the FC and FD engines) they have a CAS,thus can be mounted up in the same fashion as a S5 engine....SE oilpan and front cover.....insert Cosmo CAS into the SE front cover.
Youll have to adress the electronic OMP issue if you keep the stock ECU......this is likely to be mandetory if you retain the factory sequential twin turbos.

The Cosmo engine is similar. It is a more expensive choice to the S4 or S5 13B's. The RE engine has more power potential. The intake and TB will flow slightly more then even a 13B-REW. However, putting everything together will become more expensive. Because we never saw the RE's in the states, some parts can be slightly harder to produce or retro-fit. Your output goals will help make your decision.

Its not that its hard to run it,the S5 and later ECU's are programmed to recognize and operate that OMP.Its just that the electronic OMP wont bolt up to any 1st gen front cover and you CANNOT delete the OMP or the ECU will have a hissy-fit.
You could fab your own 2nd gen style mounts and use the front cover specific for the engine......
Modify an SE or 12A front cover to accept the electric OMP(what I did).......
Or,block off the OMP pad,run premix, plug in the OMP and tie it off to the side. The ECU will continue to operate the OMP and will be happy, but I cannot garuantee how long the OMP will mechanically function, without lube running through it.I did it for a month or so,in preparation for my modded front cover, and it worked.
