Question 13B Rotor housings all same???

Does anyone know if the 13B rotor housings from a GSL-SE and the second generation are the same? I'm thinking the end castings maybe different but the rotor housing maybe the same, does any know for certain??

Thanks
Jim

No they are not.

In '86, Mazda moved the coolant O-rings from the rotor housings to the side housings. This basically means you can't interchange any housings between -'85 and '86+ engines.

They also changed the geometry a lil' bit in '86 so you're supposedly not even supposed to interchange rotors, but I've heard of people doing it.
