Anything is possible with enough money and know-how.

I think there's an Aussie running around here somewhere who has an REW powered first gen.

I've seen that setup while I was at Rampage Racing during their dyno day last winter. Very cool.

T&R has a 1st gen with a 3rd gen transplant. Check out their site at www.rx7s.com I think it's Romeo's car. It runs 10s last I heard.

Don't the FD engines have a front cover mount kinda like the FB's do?

It'd be cool to have a 13B-REW (with a fatty single turbo, of course) in my RX2

this is my impression.

the REW uses 2 oil metering lines if I am understanding this. Assuming that this is factual one in theory could mount a 12a front cover on a REW while using the standard 12A to 13B swap. I am unsure about the turbos and personaly I would think about puting a 89-91 turbo 2 exhaust manifold and turbo to keep the complexitys and cost down.

I guess if I was running a honda it would give me 50+ hp but oh well... its not the fastest thing on the road but if I can put a rew in a 1st gen... keep it a sleeper... Xnay on the Hondoo A big time!!! After looking at the site I think that it will fit but wireing the damn thing I am going to go out of my mind!!! But I got to get some more $$$ first

I have a 13B JC Cosmo engine in my 85 first gen.

I have a Garrett turbo, T72 front with Q equivalant rear blade with 1.22 divided rear housing.

I am running a HITman tuned E6K.

Timing cover is a 12A turbo one I believe and I do not have the oil injection connected so I run premix.

or more go see www.ajc13b.com

There he is. I couldn't remember your name.

Why don't you run an '86-'88 mechanical OMP?

12 sec fd, do you own a honda? It sure sounds like you do.Oh, and btw, I live in cali too, and there are quite a few shitty Hondas running around.Yeah, there are a few fast ones, but for the most part they have nothing.I can't tell you how many Hondas I see every day with stupid body kits and no engine mods. So, IMO, for the most part, Hondas are ricers.

I was planning on premixing, and having a big single, so all I really need to know is if the 12A cover fits the -REW. Judging by AJC13B's car, it does

why not just drop in a TII, and put a big single on it? What's the advantage to the -REW that the B-T doesn't have? There's someone on here w/ a 1st gen with a 13B-T running 270rwHP. With the availability of j-spec TII motors, why not use those?

Maybe I'm missing something, but if yer gonna run a single turbo, why not go the tried-and-tested route? If you want the 3rd gen twins, well, that's different.

The REW has bigger ports and a stiffer rear housing. I'm going to be making alot of power and don't feel like cracking the rear housing like my friend did with his TII engine.

Hmmmmmm......My car and specs huh?I'm sorry, but di I ever say I had a 10 sec car?I don't think I did. Also, I believe I did say that there are SOME fast Hondas out there, but not many where I live. And for Hondas beating down on me, yeah there are some out there that could, but let's be honest here, most can't.My specs, lets see here.I have an 87 TII, with downpipe and high flow cat.OMG, you're right, with all those stupid mods I must be a ricer. As for times, I don't race much, and I have never been to the strip.I can however say that I have stayed right next to a 96 Z28, beat a newer Impala SS, Beat a Chevelle SS, hung with a moded 66 or so mustang, and killed a few Hondas. If there are SO many fast Hondas, how come I have never lost to one. Most won't even race.Let me give you an example of a stupid Honda. The other night I saw an older hatchback that had a turbo and BOV.The way it was whining it sounded like he was pushing at least 12 psi.I could tell he was gettin on it but it wasn't going anywhere.I mean WTF?Anyways, why would people in FD's, other than you, look down on me.They all love 7's, no matter what year, and aren't jerks just because their car is newer. And why would people in Hondas be laughing at my 13 year old car when it is beating their 2001 ***.It just doesn't make any sense to me.Oh well, I guess I'm done for now, cause I don't really feel much like arguing about something as stupid as this. It's an RX-7 forum, not a Honda forum.
