13B apex seals

I bought one of those import engines, a series 5 13B turbo. removed the turbo and exhaust manifold and checked out the apex seals by looking in the exhaust ports. They all looked nice and shiny. In order to turn the motor over, I was just turning the flywheel by hand. Am I right in thinking that these seals are still in reasonable shape and that this motor does not require a rebuild just yet anyways. Or given the condition of the seals as I described, is this only confirmation that I will just be able to start this motor but who knows what after 10k miles.

doing what u did, insured that the apex seal r still there and intact. however, u can pull the plugs out, thread a long bolt into one of the pressure plate mounting holes like a handle and turn it really fast in the direction it would run and get a pretty good indication if there's enough compression for it to run.
