12A Turbo engine?

Yep, they did. But if you're going aftermarket ECU that's no longer important (the dizzy that is, boost retard stays important!)
If you go carbed setup, a 12AT dizzy can still be obtained if you know the sources. I'm in need of one myself, so I'll better start searching, before you guys bought all of them

If I were to go 12A turbo, I'd just use the stock distributer, convert to dual leading direct fire using MSD's, and place a boost retard module on them. Not only are 12AT dizzies hard to come by, they aren't designed for much higher than the stock 6psi boost.

It's alright to use the stock dizzy. You have to lock it though, weld the centrifugal advance, and disconnect the vacuume advance(but keep them attached).
