12A Turbo engine?
Hello RX-7 Fans.
How good is the 12A Turbo engine? Can I upgrade the 12A Turbo engine for more hp? Where can I find more information about the 12A Turbo engine?

So yeah, the engine block itself will bolt in just fine. Making it run is another story .

PS - Ive bought parts from Robert, and even though it took a couple days longer than expected to get them, they were top notch quality and worked great . Thanks again Robert .

Those 12A Turbos are getting pretty old now..

A 12AT has lower compression rotors, and EFI. By turbo-ing a "normal" 12A, you'd have a higher compression ration, and therefor more power off-boost.
The UK-bred systems of aftermarket turbo's for the 12A have proven reliable, so it ain't really needed to have lower compression. All depends on how much boost you want, and at which part of the powerband. Budget will be one of the most important factors when deciding.
But you could use a "normal" 12A with custom EFI and turbo setup and have both more reliability aswell as more power then the 12AT. It all depends on what you want from the setup, and how much you are willing to invest.
