12a Street port with stock nikki
Any suggestions on how to tune the stock nikki to get the full potenial out of the 12a streetport? It already has the full racing beat header and exhaust on it.
Thanks for the input!!!

You should go with a weber 48dcoe (sidedraft carb), carter fuel pump and some low fuel pressure regulator around 3-5 psi... should work awesome big hp gain too... But only if you want to spend around 1500...
If not go for the modifyed nikki with a aftermarket pump/regulator... You basically need more fuel to gain alot of horsepower from your streetport (offiously).

Make your secondary fuel jets your primaries (160s), then put 190s on the secondaries, bore out the primary venturis to 25 mm, you're all set.
Just kidding Dennis, just kidding!
My recommendation: send your Nikki to Sterling or rx7carl for full modification.

DCOE is good, but i think if you want to optimize, then go for a LCR manifold or get an IDA system.
as for the original question ... i've seen a stock Nikki run very well on a streetport (with a good pump and regulator), but i'd say it would be worth it to look into getting the Nikki modded by Sterling or Carl.

i have been looking around for this.......
what kind of hp should you see with a sterling carb and rb header to straight pipe on a stock port engine though..............right now i dont have the money to run a weber and rebuild for the motor but will need one later.........and how much would i be looking at price wise for the sterling carb,,pump,,and reg???

The one part I failed to mention is that she will need to do emissions every 2years.
I had her keep the stock cat and pipes when I installed the new engine and exhaust. She still has the full emissions on the mainfold and no belt on the air pump.

what is done to the exhaust?
If you need to pass emissions it would be in your best interest just to keep the stock carb, none of the aftermarket ones will pass since they are not configured for emission control.
