Have you tried checking the timing again? I don't know why Mazda chose to match a small pin projecting off the front cover to a giant splotch of red paint on the pulley, but it's not all that exact. Your timing's turned about as far as possible, though it did seem a little happier with the timing where it is now. I doubt your timing's the real culprit, but it could use a tweak.

got it running alot better after you left crit, just by adjusting the float level on the primaries. Held an idle after it warmed up, and I was able to drive it around. Not perfect, but she hit 50 or so in the parking lot. The header must be replaced before I can get it out on the road. Cooled very well, sat at 185-190 during the drive and during idling. Can't thank you enough for coming to help out.
