12a rebuild help and suggestions

Second attempt at a rotor.... this rear had an apex let go and did some damage..... if I file the edge down but don't mess with the apex slot is it usable as long as the apex clearance is still in spec? I mean the rotor itself doesn't touch anything so is it possible?

tons of extra work kind of blows, but you'll get a better engine out of it.
its amazing what these engines will put up with, people hem and haw about the factory balance being a little loose at 50g, and then those same people build the engine wrong, with like 300g difference and when it fails they blame Mazda

Update time! Engine is running and getting easier to start each time..... installed a innovative wideband to accurately track and tune. The idle is running about 13 afr which is good but when accelerating or cruising it goes lean..... like 17-18 afr lean. Seems logical since this carb was fueling my stock port. I had to adjust the idle mix screws and now am installing my back up holley knock off pump (112gph) and about 8psi from what I remember. Stock pump is for sure not enough and will redo my float bowl levels when done installing. Any advice on running the holley to a street port and jet size and what not? Real excited to be able to drive the old girl again!
